What is the difference between knowledge and wisdom?

Posted on Jul 2nd, 2008 by Captain BrilleCoeur : Diplomat of Truth and Love Captain BrilleCoeur
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for July 02, 2008:

Knowledge is given more credit these days because it is what we get outside of ourselves, however wisdom is found within ourselves and therefore should be given more credit.

How do you decide that something is true?

Posted on Apr 5th, 2008 by Captain BrilleCoeur : Diplomat of Truth and Love Captain BrilleCoeur
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for April 03, 2008:

When something is true, I can feel it in my heart.  Sometimes I can also see it in my mind when it appears to be the truth.  I usually raise questions when something does not appear to be true to me.  It's like touching the truth, if you can touch the thing, it can be true but if your sixth sense can't connect to the truth, it won't be true to me.  We may not be able to solidify the truth like matter, but we can connect to it as if it were really there.  It is quite ironic, because I grew up in a family that was always running between what is true and what wasa not, and I think I learned how to tell if they were lying or creating a new story to the one they had given at first.  It is a lot like love, if you can feel it, it can be true.

If you could gain one character trait, what would you pick?

I would choose to reach Enlightenment and return to teach others.  I would become a Buddha.

How would you continue the first post you made in your blog?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 29, 2007:

The first blog I wrote was all about patience, and how I learned it.  That was also the beginning of a new semester at college, and I think I also had early senioritis, because then I was 2 years to graduation, now I only have 2 semesters left!

I should add though that I did tell the fish to get the heck on the hook because I admit I was somewhat impatient.

Where'd your haircut come from?

Jcbandanna
I have wild outrageous hair and I hate short hair.  Because I can only use one hand, it is hard to take care of long hair.  I used to have that sorta hair but I was dependent on other people to do my hair, so I was forced to have short hair, but I just hate that.  Besides I consider myself a Rastafan fan, so I decided my hair was the only thing I could keep whole.

As seen in my pictures, the easiest way to hold it all back is a banadanna, and I got the idea from an old friend from a camp I went to when I was sixteen.  Unfortunately the friend was a male and he mostly used it to keep sweat out of his eyes.  He was also from the Czech Republic.

Short hair reminds me of my childhood I guess and it was painful.  So I guess looking more like a goof is my best haircut.  I only visit the barbar shop twice a year so I don't have too long hair, but it often ends up being too short!

To see a photo of my wild hair look for the Holloween and the kids picture in my profile.

Do you think it's more important to be compassionate or fair?

Posted on Dec 14th, 2007 by Captain BrilleCoeur : Diplomat of Truth and Love Captain BrilleCoeur
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 14, 2007:

I didn't know the two had to be separate.  To me, being compassionate is also about being fair.  Unless, of course, there was another definition for fair which there are many.  If fair applies to treating everyone equally, that includes compassion.  If it's about who is doing the right thing and who isn't, well then there's still fairness, because is there really such a thing as wrong?  Is it wrong to be silly in public?  Not really.  Actually I don't know where this right/wrong idea evolved from, and it doesn't help the world at best.  So what I believe is fair and compassion often overlap.

How did you learn to think for yourself?

Posted on Dec 11th, 2007 by Captain BrilleCoeur : Diplomat of Truth and Love Captain BrilleCoeur
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 11, 2007:

I was always either lied to, denied the truth, or just didn't like what people say, so I just said, this is the end of falsity and denial for me.  I can't stand lying, it's not the best policy.  Then I set out to find the truth and think for myself.

Do you pay much attention to what others think of you?

Posted on Dec 6th, 2007 by Captain BrilleCoeur : Diplomat of Truth and Love Captain BrilleCoeur
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 06, 2007:

I used to be poisoned by someone else's dream according to the book by Miguel Ruiz.  Often my mother criticized me all the time, but I don't think I would be a positive person if I had let her poison sink in.  My family was the worst part, always like they had to fuse about how awful I was....And my friends have found that heart of gold I have, that Brille Coeur (Bright heart).

So I guess now that I have studied spirituality to some understanding, I know when to separate my thoughts from other people's and no I don't pay much attention, it's too much energy spent on nothing.

All we should ever believe is what we say about ourselves, so start telling yourself that positive thing people refuse to tell you!

What was the greatest spiritual challenge of your life?

Posted on Nov 20th, 2007 by Captain BrilleCoeur : Diplomat of Truth and Love Captain BrilleCoeur
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 09, 2007:

For me it was the beginning, when I woke up from living in the false world for so long.   Then realizing the Truth, it took a lot of effort to let go of fear and false thinking.  Then it became easier to really live spiritually bathed in love and Truth.
